Through the NDHEGGA platform, the Festival empowers 12,300 Heritage Envoys—100 from each of the region’s 123 local government areas —to champion the UN Sustainable Development Goals. These youth and women ambassadors amplify Niger Delta’s cultural voice on global platforms, advocating for climate action, gender equity, peacebuilding, and sustainable livelihoods. By connecting heritage leadership with global goals, the Festival ensures that Niger Delta’s youth are both local custodians and global citizens, linking grassroots realities to international commitments.
